Wondertime Photography - Urban Engagement Photos

This past week I had the opportunity and honor to photograph Calyn & Ryan's Engagement photos in downtown Phoenix, Arizona! We were lucky with the weather that day and had a great time walking around the warehouse district spending a lovely afternoon together! These two are perfect for one another too! Downtown with the Littles - Tucson Family Portrait Photographer

This past weekend we met up with one of my ALL time FAVORITE families for a fun session with their 4 Little Ones in Urban Tucson. We even brought the green loveseat with us to make it extra special! First of all I want to thank everyone who helped out to make this session happen, we had lots of extra help...and Mom and Dad worked extra hard too, so thanks everyone! Sessions like this aren't always about having the perfect image, but are more about the story the kids tell about being kiddos...and so we capture special moments of love and special moments of what it's like being a family with 4 little ones under the age of 6 years old with a set of twins! I think they turned out great...I can't wait to hear what mom and dad think of their sneak peek! Thanks! ~Michelle

Wondertime Photography in Tucson, Arizona {The Next Generation}

When you have children, you often wonder what it is they are "going to be when they grow up" but I as a parent have never worried about it too much since they are only 11 & 12 years old and in middle school at the moment. At first it was just "cute" that they wanted to try out Mamma & Pappa's camera's while we were photographing them during a photo session...sure sure let them try it out. But the next time they actually wanted to photograph one another and see how the images turned out. The next thing I know, my oldest son is begging to go with me to my next photo session and be an assistant/second shooter! I turned him down at first but finally he convinced me he would stay out of my way and wouldn't distract anyone, especially the subjects since they were family. Boy oh boy was I pleasantly surprised once again with his talent! He was extremely helpful, acted very professional and stayed out of the way yet captured some really great images himself! Here's one of my favorites that he captured and converted to black & white all on his own:

Urban Family Photo Session in Downtown Tucson

My second photo session since back surgery was this morning in downtown Tucson with my awesome sister and her 3 children who happen to make great nieces and a nephew! We captured some great urban family photos and some of just the kids as well. Lots of laughter and hugs were had by all - which made for some great shots I'm happy to say. Check them out below:

Tucson Children & Family Portrait Photography

Aren't these girls so adorable? We had so much fun during their mini portrait session and I just loved the old fence at their home, it was perfect and very much in the "Wondertime style." If you are wondering what a mini photo session is, it's usually just the children, and the session itself is much shorter in duration with only one outfit, one location and not as many images to choose from, but you still end up with great images to choose from and it works well for little children since their attention span isn't so long anyways. ;) Here are a few of my favorite photographs from that day ~ Enjoy! ~Michelle

Tucson Children & Family Portrait Photography

School is back in session and we are all getting back in the swing of things around here. We had an amazing summer vacation making the most awesome memories and capturing them all to look back on. My children love to look at the photos and videos already and remember all the fun times we had and I encourage you to try and balance enjoying the moment with capturing it, when you have your next adventure, big or small.

Speaking of adventures, I like to make my sessions like mini adventures downtown with the kids when we have our photo session so they have a wonderful time and it always shows in the final photographs. Before summer vacation, I had a family - maternity session with one of my favorite families in downtown Tucson and I didn't get a chance to properly blog the photos so I have to share them since they turned out so great in my humble opinion! :)

Big sister totally stole the show during the maternity - family session - which happens alot with such cuteness and I just LOVE the final photo we got when little sister was born - and so did mom and dad who ordered a large print to go in their home which they say gets tons of attention as soon as anyone walks into their home. YaY! I love to hear this! I am so happy and honored to photograph families and be able to watch them grow throughout the years. :) Enjoy! ~Michelle

Tucson Photographer ~ Surfs Up!

Well, a little sad that yesterday was the last day of summer vacation, but we are still reliving our last amazing trip together to San Diego with awesome friends where we spent everyday at the beach playing in the waves and sand together. The water was a little chilly but Mamma got an underwater case for my iPhone so I was out there playing with my kiddos the whole time snapping photos of them playing in the waves and we just had a blast! Plus I got to see one of my besties and her family and "L" came with us so the trip was just the best. The only person we were missing was Pappa because he had to work. But anyhow, here are just a few of the images I captured from our little adventure. Enjoy and I hope you all had a great summer and have a wonderful school year! ~Michelle

Tucson Photographer - Summer Vacation

Our family recently went on an awesome road trip to Lyman Lake State Park in Arizona and we had a blast! We stayed in our own cozy little cabin a few minutes from the muddy beach of the lake, which the boys thought was just so cool! I've lived in Arizona my whole life and I have never heard of this little gem of a lake, but it was so lovely with lots of things to do. I don't think I am the only one who hasn't heard of it either since we basically had the place to ourselves!

We spent time swimming and building mud castles of course. Then there was a short hike to see some petroglyphs, fishing and we were lucky enough to be able to have a campfire before the ban was set up due to all of the wildfires. There are 2 towns 15 minutes away in either direction so we were able to go out to eat if we wanted (and we did!) and we saw a parade one day too! We took two small road trips, one to the petrified forest and the biggest thrill for both boys was the horseback riding. They just LOVED it!
