I am so excited to share this sneak peek of a beautiful expecting Mamma - isn't she stunning?
At 37 weeks, most expecting moms are really ready to meet the newest member of their family, but I'll never forget what my mom told me when I was complaining about the pain in my hips, not sleeping, swollen feet - you know, all of the "fun" stuff about pregnancy ;) - she said, "Michelle, enjoy this time - these last few weeks and possibly days because once that baby is born, you will spend the rest of your life worrying about him...is he safe, fed, warm, loved...but right now, inside of you, he is all of those things." WOW - that put things in perspective, I zipped my lips and enjoyed those final weeks of my pregnancies knowing my baby was safe, warm, fed and content. And even if I didn't feel extremely beautiful in those final days due to the above mentioned symptoms, all I had to do is look at my maternity photographs and I felt beautiful again, and that is how I remember those pregnancies - I remember feeling beautiful.
This past session was extra special because I was contacted by a colleague, fellow children's photographer, Paige from Portraits by Paige to do her maternity session. It was awesome to work together and create this image - I think she is absolutely gorgeous and glowing at 37 weeks! Looking forward to meeting your newest little member of your family! ~Michelle
