I'm always flattered when clients tell me there are "too many good photos" and "they don't know which ones to choose," but there really is a solution for this - a COFFEE TABLE BOOK and then you get all of your favorites from your session in one beautifully designed hardcover bound book!  I have lots of samples, so if you haven't already seen one I am happy to show you them during our pre-consultation meeting prior to our photo session.  I am currently running a special for those who had a photo session in November or December and would like to purchase a coffee table album from your photo session. Wondertime's Photography in Chic Modern Vintage!

Thanks to Michelle Hinckley of Three Men & a Lady for inviting me to photograph her home awhile back and a big congrats to her for all of the fun opportunities that her amazing talent has brought to her.  She is featured all over the internet and blogging world - even on the Nate Berkus Show for her talent and DIY projects and home design.  I was lucky enough to be able to film her little segment and have my canvas wall art show up for a few seconds on the show!  Her latest feature is in an online magazine called Laura U by the blog Chic Modern Vintage with Wondertime's Photography accompanying the article.  Fun stuff - congrats again Michelle H. - you are the best!

Tucson Children's Photographer {Sneak Peek!}

This was a great weekend - a little cold and rainy on Saturday which is unusual for Tucson, Arizona this time of year, but it worked out perfectly! I was able to hang out with one of my super fun families and we ordered their custom canvas wall gallery (which I can't wait to share when it's ready!) and they are also getting a coffee table book too, which is a great way to get all of the images from your session in the highest quality hard bound book that is sure to get everyone's attention when displayed on an easel! Sunday was still chilly, but no rain and so I got to photograph two sweet families with a big focus on their adorable children! I love their ages too - 3 years, 2.5 years and 1 year!  The first session was "K" who I have been so happy to watch grow since she was in her beautiful mamma's belly when we did her maternity portraits, then newborn portraits and her two year portraits (click HERE) too! Funny because it was raining during our last session too - what are the odds in Tucson??? :)  Be on the look out for the second session with a wonderful new family and their incredibly beautiful children and their gorgeous and amazing mamma soon! Tucson, Arizona Professional Photographer & Merit Prints!

I have a couple of exciting things that I would like to share with my wonderful clients and blog followers!  The first is that this past Monday, me and my wonderful second shooter (aka hubby, Owe) drove up to Phoenix for the Arizona Professional Photographers Association's bi-annual print critique meeting and 3 of the 4 prints that I entered received merits! It is such an honor to be recognized by my peers who are all Master Photographers and extremely talented in our industry.  The fourth image was extremely close to receiving a merit as well and I made the recommended adjustments and will enter it at the International Print Competition as well. Owe being the engineer and math lover that he is, was quite proud of me and the fact that only 18 of the 100 prints submitted received a merit and 3 were created by Wondertime Photography!  Here they are:

The second exciting thing is that I received my official certification from the Professional Photographers of America and I can now add "CPP" after my name which stands for Certified Professional Photographer.  I had to pass a very difficult exam this past January and submit a portfolio of images to be judged, which also passed first time around. Yay!

I am proud of these accomplishments and look forward to working toward earning my Master of Photography title by entering the above images at the International Print Competition which will be scored at Imaging USA in January 2012 in New Orleans, and each year thereafter.  You can only submit 4 images per year and you need 13 merits from print merits from the International Competition (the other 12 merits come from service/education merits) in order to received your master degree. So, it generally takes several years to earn this distinction, but I am so excited to get started this year! Thanks again to everyone - I have the best clients, friends and family ever! *hugs* ~M

Spring is arriving in Tucson {Family Portrait Photographer}

I am working on a custom coffee table book that includes all of the images from this incredible photo session for this beautiful family and came across one that I just I had to spend some extra time working on.  I can totally see it this as a huge canvas wall art in their home. What do you think? :)  On another note, Spring in Tucson means that Summer is just around the corner, so if you are considering scheduling a session, give me a call as soon as possible - I am scheduling into May right now and have a few Mini Session openings available on May 28th for current/previous clients.  Happy Day!  ~M
